Invoice merge is a feature of Djaboo that allows you to merge/include already created invoices into 1 invoice by passing all invoice information to a new invoice. This feature is used if your customer has other outstanding invoices but you need to create another invoice for the customer and you want to prevent your customer from paying multiple invoices, in this case your customer will only have to pay 1 invoice .

How to check if there are invoices available to merge? #

Invoices available to merge appear in different places.

  1. When creating a new invoice – Invoices available to merge are displayed after customer selection, the system will check if there are any invoices available to merge in the invoice you are creating for the selected customer.
  2. When you preview an existing invoice from the admin area – Available invoices will be displayed on the top and you can click on the Edit button to apply the necessary action.
  3. When editing an existing invoice – Invoices available for merging are displayed immediately after entering the edit invoice area.

NOTE: You can only merge invoices that belong to statutes following: Unpaid, Overdue, Draft.

Eq. If the invoice you are editing has Partially Paid status, you will not be able to merge existing invoices into this invoice with Partially Paid status.

How to merge invoices? #

When creating/editing an invoice at the top, a message is displayed if there are invoices available for merging.

Merge invoices

You can merge multiple invoices by clicking the checkbox to the left of the invoice number.

Once the field is checked, the Invoice items will automatically be added to your existing invoice that you are creating or modifying.

Additionally, you can mark merged invoices as canceled instead of deleting them, as merging invoices will create gaps in invoice numbers. Please do not merge invoices if you do not want gaps in your invoice history. You also have the option to manually adjust invoice numbers if you want to fill in the gaps.

Canceled invoices are excluded from the report, overdue reminders.
