Djaboo-Paypal connection: How does it work?

To configure Paypal, you will need API permissions.

  1. PayPal API username
  2. PayPal API Password
  3. API signing

Follow the steps below to get API permissions

Creating an API signature #

  1. Log in to your PayPal business account at www.paypal.com. Click the profile icon (Profile menu) at the top right of the page. From the Business Profile menu, select Profile & Settings.
If you don't see the profile icon in the top right, select Profile that appears in the top menu when the My Account tab is selected.
  2. In the left menu, click My selling tools.
  3. In the Sell Online section, click the Update link for the API access item.
  4. To generate the API signature, click Request API Credentials on the API Access page
  5. Select Request API signature and click Accept and submit to generate the API signature.

Notes: #

  1. If you have already generated an API credential set, you will need to delete your existing set before you can generate a new credential set. In this case, you will see a View API signature (or certificate) link where the Request API credentials link is circled in the diagram above. Click the View API Signature > link and on the page that appears, click the Delete button to delete the existing signature.
  2. You need a Business Merchant account to configure how the PayPal API works.
  3. Always test before putting the online payment method into production.
