What are the types of internship contracts?

The third and last type of contract is the professionalization contract, which allows trainees to access the skills needed in a trade. An internship can be carried out under these three types of contracts, depending on the decision of the employer.

There is no obligation to have an internship contract with your intern, but if you want to keep things in order and avoid future conflicts, you must have one with you. The contract also helps to clarify what is expected of both parties.

You can include the following when writing an internship contract:

• Welcome note for an intern in which you can congratulate the intern on a successful application.

• Clarify the job title and position of the intern role.

• Indicate the start and end date and time of the intern's employment.

• Add a call to action for the trainee to review.

• Details of payment or compensation, including amount, method and additional charges, etc. (if applicable).

• Sign and return the internship contract agreement.

• Add a note indicating the importance of confidentiality.
